In A Wrinkle in Time Quintet book two, Meg Murry, now in college, time travels with her twin brothers, Sandy and Dennys, to a desert oasis that is embroiled in war. Sandy and Dennys have always been the normal, run-of-the-mill ones in the extraodinary Murry family. They garden, make an occasional A in school, and play baseball. Nothing especially interesting has happened to the twins until they accidentally interrupt their father's experiment. Then the two boys are thrown across time and space. They find themselves alone in the desert, where, if they believe in unicorns, they can find unicorns, and whether they believe or not, mammoths and manticores will find them. The twins are rescued by Japheth, a man from the nearby oasis, but before he can bring them to safety, Dennys gets lost. Each boy is quickly embroiled in the conflicts of this time and place, whose populations includes winged seraphim, a few stray mythic beasts, perilous and beautiful nephilim, and small, long lived humans who consider Sandy and Dennys giants. The boys find they have more to do in the oasis than simply getting themselves home--they have to reunite an estranged father and son, but it won't be easy, especially when the son is named Noah and he's about to start building a boat in the desert. Fiction. Jewish Studies. Middle Eastern Studies. Women's Studies. IN MANY WATERS is the gripping story of three orphans whose lives intersect on the island of Malta during our current, urgent refugee crisis. Zoe, a budding historian, comes to Malta with her younger brother Cal to learn more about their Maltese mother, as well as the mysterious circumstances surrounding their parents' untimely deaths. The siblings' well-mapped plans are derailed when Cal, who is a daily swimmer in the Mediterranean, discovers a girl floating in the sea, barely alive. The small, battered fishing boat on which she has journeyed from Libya to Malta capsized in a storm: Aziza is the sole survivor. Meanwhile, Zoe returns to the site of her parents' drownings and stumbles across a trail of clues which lead to the discovery of an unknown family member, unearthing a chain of life-changing secrets. IN MANY WATERS brilliantly mines the hearts and minds of characters in extremis, the unforgettable tale of the ways that we love and help one another and how the choices we make reverberate through generations.

The third entry into The War with The Remnant Series, Of Many Waters finds two remote souls surveying the powerful flow of the High Rock Dam, unaware of the impending danger. In the midst of wartime conditions, this father and son will encounter, in a brief moment, the undertaking effects of a raging river. Based on the passage from Revelation 1:15, "And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters," this short novel uncovers the pull from below, as both souls and currents are tossed to and fro. Will it be the washing of The Word by the water that uncovers truth, or will the deluge of treachery be too much for this curious pair? Author and Writer Matthew Pope's twelfth book, the narrative of WWTR continues from the main Bible verse of Revelation 12:17, and fosters a fictional theme undergirded with elements of supernatural truth. Finding a literary home amongst previous manuscripts, the whole of the mission is joined together to be a unity of pressing forth for The Gospel of Jesus, and exposing the error of man's ways by conviction in The Holy Ghost, where God judges, and people love.
